2013 Harley-Davidson® FXDB Street Bob®

Description:

17593B  2013 HARLEY-DAVIDSON® FXDB DYNA STREET BOB® Black Denim

ESTIMATED CITY/HWY Fuel Economy 43 mpg

The Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® is restyled for 2013 as a stripped-down and rowdy bobber based on the Harley-Davidson® Dyna® platform to capture the pure essence of motorcycling; a brawny American V-Twin engine powering a bike with essential equipment and not much more. The Street Bob also serves as a great starting point for the rider intent on personal customization, which is now why it can also be personalized through H-D1™ factory customization. This web-based program allows customers to select factory-installed options that personalize fit, function and style in more than 2,000 combinations. New styling features include a black Twin Cam 96™ powertrain with highlighted details, blacked-out front end, clean rear fender with combination stop/tail/turn lighting

“Our focus for the Street Bob® model is always on street appeal,” said Harley-Davidson Styling Manager, Tony Pink. “This bike is for the owner who would order a muscle car with the biggest motor and no radio. As part of this restyle, we cleaned off the rear fender, ditched the battery box trim, and bolted on a classic round air-cleaner cover. The goal is to create the elemental Big Twin that a Customer can define as his own. Then we selected an array of options for H-D1TM that allow the owner to take the Street Bob® [model] in many different stylistic directions.”

The defining elements of the Street Bob® model are retained for 2013 – a solo seat, chopped rear fender, and mini ape-hanger handlebar give this motorcycle an unmistakable profile. New styling features include a black Twin Cam 96TM powertrain with highlighted details, blacked-out front end, chopped rear fender

BENEFITS AND FEATURES WHEN NEW

Stripped down to the bare essentials, and as “naked” as the law allows, the Street Bob® model goes right to the heart of riding with no distractions along the way. Inspired by the minimalist roots of the bobber scene, the Street Bob features a mini ape-hanger handlebar, Fat Bob® fuel tank, solo seat, mid-mounted foot controls and a big, black Twin Cam 96™ engine.

The combination stop/tail/turn lighting and side-mounted license plate keep the chopped rear fender clean and smooth. The Street Bob can be personalized through H-D1™ Factory Customization, the web-based program that allows customers to select factory-installed options that personalize fit, function and style in more than 2,000 combinations.

• Rubber-mounted Twin Cam 96™ V-Twin engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), rated at 92 ft. lbs. of torque

• 6-speed Cruise Drive® transmission

• Exposed under-seat battery box

• Exposed rear coil-over shock absorbers

• Mid-mounted rider footpegs with brake and shift levers

You demanded it and we heard you. We’ve re-imagined the Street Bob® motorcycle for 2013, stripping it back to its roots with a classic, essential bobber style and massive amounts of black finish: gloss black front end triple clamps, textured black console, blacked out powertrain with textured covers. It’s an aggressive, unpolished street attitude that pulls no punches and delivers only what you need, nothing you don’t.

Hard Candy Custom™ Paint Color (Optional)

Mini “Ape-Hanger” Handlebar

Grab hold of the stainless steel mini ape-hanger handlebar and put your fists way into the wind. The style is pure post-war bobbers, and we keep it clean and minimalist by routing the wires inside the steel. And new for 2013, we’ve rubber-isolated the bars with separate risers and blacked out top triple clamps, so you can ride more comfortably, with less vibration, and can accessorize with less hassle.

Bobber Solo Seat

True to the old school bobber look, a slammed, 25.5-inch low solo seat drops you in nice and snug to the bike and close to the pavement beneath you. It’s the ultimate bond with the road and your machine. Get the quintessential bobber style without sacrificing the comfort of the ride.

Blacked Out Rims & Large Front Wheel

Raw, gritty and no-nonsense—minimalist, yet premium in every detail—the Street Bob® motorcycle’s overall blacked out styling includes black laced steel wheels and stainless steel spokes with an aggressive 19″ wheel up front to lead your way out of the mundane. Blacked out like the Harley-Davidson® Twin Cam engine, these wheels make a bold statement and provide a smooth, true ride.

New Blacked Out Console

A big part of the 2013 Street Bob® model’s raw look—and another refinement you asked for—this blacked-out, gas tank-mounted console delivers minimalist style and big functionality. The full-length console is textured-black and includes an integrated barrel-key ignition switch and LED indicator lights, electronic speedometer with gear/RPM indicator, tach, clock, trip-meter, and engine diagnostics.

Chopped Rear Fender

Lose the support covers and a good chunk of metal and you get another important feature of the bobber from yesteryear: the chopped rear fender. Stripped down clean, this fender offers just enough surface for low-profile taillights and a side mounted license plate bracket. Give other riders more tire to look at when you blow past them.

Stop-Turn-Tail Lights

Old school looks meet new-school engineering. Minimalist chrome retro-style bullet taillights combine functionality to work twice as hard—stop beams and running lights plus turn indicators in two low-profile rear lamps.

Fuel Tank Medallions

When it comes to motorcycles, there’s one name that people will never mistake for another: Harley-Davidson. The 2013 Street Bob® model features newly designed cast fuel tank medallions with classic styling that oozes the iconic Harley-Davidson attitude. Consider it your badge of honor bolted on the side of the fuel tank so everyone can see exactly how you roll.

Hand Finished Fuel Tank

All Harley-Davidson® fuel tanks are finished by hand—that’s what makes them stand out from the competition. Their seamless design and unmatched style are unique among all motorcycles on the road. The tanks are one of the first and last things people notice when they lay their eyes on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle—so we make it worth their time.

Twin Cam 96™ Engine Innovation

Fire up the Twin Cam 96™ engine and feel the low-end torque unleashed. Thanks to the lightweight piston design, delivery of the added power is more refined than ever. Then put your foot on the shifter and feel how the engine and Six-Speed Cruise Drive® transmission were designed to work together. Six speeds. A strong driveline and strong internal parts. Low routine maintenance. And a low cruising rpm couldn’t feel better.

Pure Blacked Out Styling

Feast your eyes on the Twin Cam 96™ engine and there’s no mistaking its roots. From the classic edge of the cooling fins to the clean lines of cases and covers, this is authentic Harley-Davidson style through and through with an attention to detail you won’t find from any other motorcycle company. The finish, newly designed for 2013 as part of the Street Bob model’s re-imagined dark styling, features a blacked out powertrain, a gloss black battery cover and textured wrinkle-black rockers with highlighted fins. It’s pure, minimal styling that makes an elemental statement about holding to what’s right and staying true to what satisfies.

Six-Speed Cruise Drive®

You want a ride that rumbles—not begs for mercy—when you lean on it a little. The Six-Speed Cruise Drive® transmission provides smooth, quiet shifting and reduces engine speed on the highway, so you get a better match between engine turnover and road speed. It’s a rare ride when a bike responds like this, and a low growl goes a long way when you’re opening up the road ahead.

Artfully Hidden Technology

Harley-Davidson leverages the latest in technology without compromising style and function. That means we hide electronics. The whole wiring harness is skillfully routed behind the jewels of the bike—the tank, engine and all the other eye-popping features you want to see. It’s just another way The Motor Company goes the extra mile to give its bikes that premium, top-of-the-line fit and finish.

Intuitive Controls

Hand controls on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle are incredibly intuitive. The turn signals are self-canceling and, based on the speed and angle of the motorcycle, they know how long to stay on. Engaging the controls quickly becomes second nature so you can focus less on turning off your signal and more on basking in the freedom of the ride.

Adjustable Suspension

Preload is easily adjusted with a spanner wrench to make your suspension suit you and your riding style. The slammed low rear suspension gives you a more laid-back riding position and style. Low-profile, kicked back for profiling down the boulevard and hugging corners.

Tuned to Be Ridden

Harley-Davidson® motorcycles are different from any other bike out on the road. There’s a balance to them. The steering, the maneuverability—it’s all in concert. And each Harley-Davidson® model is tuned differently to create a unique riding experience for each individual no matter which bike they swing their leg over. Let’s face it, we didn’t get to where we are by being like everyone else.

Mid-Mounted Controls

Let your boots fall where they may, naturally to the mid-mounted controls and rider foot pegs on the Street Bob® model. An easy reach and tight rider triangle is confidence-inspiring for new riders eager to set off on their journey and riders whose legs run slightly shorter than others.

Seat Engineering and Design

The seat is home for Harley-Davidson® motorcycle riders. They want a seat that has unique style without sacrificing comfort. Because of that, Harley-Davidson invests a lot of time in researching, designing and testing seats so that every bike has just the right saddle.

Engine Idle Temperature Management Strategy

Our motorcycles are built to be ridden. A lot. So that means that rider comfort is top of mind. Always. With the Engine Idle Temperature Management Strategy (EITMS) feature, the motorcycle automatically cuts fuel and fire from rear cylinder when idling, which helps reduce engine heat felt by rider and passenger. This feature can easily be turned on by your dealer.

Disclaimer:

The paragraph descriptions for the pre-owned bikes are generic, what the factory used when the bikes were new so they might not be precise. The bike may have been modified. Take them with a grain of salt. Same with the specifications, those are stating how the bike was spec’d stock, when new, not necessarily as it is at this very moment. Our salespeople will be glad to answer any detailed questions should anything in the generic descriptions be confusing. Also, there are over 30,000 prices and loads of specifications on this website, we do not warrant that is entirely error free. Thanks, - Barnett Harley-Davidson
